This is Nando Parrado. He was part of the Uruguayan rugby team that crashed in the Andes on October 13, 1972.
I travelled to all the way to South America because I had to meet him. This picture was taken in his father’s hardware store in Montevideo, Uruguay, on December 22th, 1997, the 25th anniversary of the rescue.”
